It’s been a long time since I have blogged, a lot has been happening, which I will try and share soon. However, I couldn’t wait to share with you this story about our precious little chick.
After hatching, it was soon apparent that the chick was in need of some help. It appeared that it was suffering from splayed leg and possibly curled toes. Upon further investigation and research, we came to realize it was worse than that. This chick had a slipped tendon.
Utilizing the amazing resource BackyardChickens.com, we were able to make the diagnosis and come up with a treatment plan. After about a week of constant care and treatment, the chick is thriving!
